Torna immediatamente a ruggire Johannes Klaebo dopo aver mostrato di essere vulnerabile nelle gare a cronometro in tecnica libera. Il norvegese si è imposto nella 15km in tecnica classica con formula gundersen sulle nevi di Dobbiaco. E' la decima vittoria in carriera per il nuovo fenomeno dello sci di fondo. L'unico a provare a resistere al forcing finale del vincitore è stato Sergei Ustiugov, la cui condizione cresce giorno dopo giorno. Al terzo posto è salito il kazako Alexey Poltoranin, uno che a Dobbiaco si è tolto diverse soddisfazioni vincendo già due volte. Il trentenne bronzo nella 50km a Fiemme 2013 è stato eccezionale nel rimontare dalla 14^ posizione.
Buona rimonta anche per il russo Alexander Bessmertnykh 4°, 5° il finnico Matti Heikkinen, 6° un ancora positivo Maurice Manificat, 7° con conferma di posizione Hans Christer Holund, 8° in crescita Dario Cologna, 9° con caduta nel finale Alex Harvey, 10° il vincitore di ieri Simen Hegstad Krueger.
Migliore degli azzurri un ottimo Giandomenico Salvadori che ha migliorato il 27° posto di ieri con un bel 20° posto nella tecnica meno congeniale. Deludente prestazione di Francesco De Fabiani che dopo una buona partenza è stato riassorbito dagli inseguitori e ha chiuso in 27^ posizione. 42° Dietmar Noeckler, 52° Fabio Pasini, 57° Maicol Rastelli con diverse posizioni recuperate, 64° Sergio Rigoni, 67° Stefano Gardener, 68° Mirco Bertolina, 69° Paolo Fanton, 77° Claudio Muller. Il circuito del fondo tornerà dopo la pausa natalizia con il Tour de Ski.
